Close your eyes and let the outside world fade. Warm water flows gently through your hair as expert hands work across your scalp, melting away stress and releasing tension while deeply cleansing your scalp. This is more than a treatment, it’s your time to completely switch off.
It was my first Japanese Head Spa experience and I was extremely delighted with the whole experience and outcome. My hair was very well taken care of and lot of attention to detail was placed before the treatment to ascertain my concerns and how to address these. After the head spa, I was also recommended products for my hair type and I came away having learnt a lot about my hair type. Being able to see a close-up of your scalp before and after is a great touch and shows how effective the treatment was. I would highly recommend and look forward to returning.

I have lived with psoriasis my whole life on my scalp and have never found someone or something to help me control it. Mimi helped calm down my scalp like I’ve never seen it before! The whole experience was so beautiful and would 100% go back again and would recommend it for everyone, even if you don’t have a scalp condition, it’s the most relaxing treatment you could get! My head felt lighter and I felt so relaxed. Thank you so much!

I had an amazing experience at this head spa! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was incredibly calming and serene. The lady who did the treatment was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the hair science, I recommend this treatment both to relax and if you have hair issues.

FAQ’s
What is a Japanese Head Spa and how does it work?
A Japanese Head Spa is a specialised scalp treatment that focuses on deep cleansing, relaxation, and restoring scalp health. Unlike a standard hair wash or massage, it combines targeted scalp exfoliation, warm water therapy, massage techniques, and professional scalp products to remove oil buildup, dead skin, and product residue from the follicles.
The treatment also stimulates blood flow to the scalp, helping to support healthier hair growth while calming the nervous system. Many clients describe it as deeply relaxing, almost meditative, while still delivering visible scalp and hair benefits.
What are the benefits of a Japanese Head Spa treatment?
A Japanese Head Spa offers both physical and mental benefits. On a scalp level, it helps to remove buildup, reduce flaking, rebalance oil production, and improve overall scalp health. Better scalp conditions often lead to stronger, healthier-looking hair over time.
Beyond hair health, the treatment is known for reducing stress, relieving tension headaches, and promoting deep relaxation. Many people notice improved sleep and a calmer mind after their session, making it a popular choice for those feeling overwhelmed or burnt out.
Is a Japanese Head Spa suitable for all hair and scalp types?
Yes, a Japanese Head Spa is suitable for most hair and scalp types, including dry scalps, oily scalps, sensitive skin, and those experiencing dandruff or product buildup. Treatments are typically tailored to your individual scalp condition, meaning products and techniques can be adjusted based on your needs.
If you have specific concerns such as psoriasis, eczema, or recent medical treatments affecting the scalp, it’s always best to mention this before your appointment so the therapist can adapt the experience safely.
How often should you have a Japanese Head Spa treatment?
How often you should book a Japanese Head Spa depends on your scalp condition and lifestyle. For general maintenance and relaxation, many people benefit from a treatment every four to six weeks. If you’re dealing with significant buildup, flaking, or scalp discomfort, more frequent sessions at the start can help restore balance.
Once your scalp health improves, spacing treatments out helps maintain results while continuing to support hair health and stress reduction.
